A gold cross-shaped prize medal from the Ballarat South Street Comptetitions. It was awarded in 1905 to James Anderson as champion of aggregate elocution. James Anderson became a professional elocutionist. He married another elocutionist, Gertrude Lewis. They lived and taught elocution in Adelaide.
