Summary
This wax model was based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by Robert Whatmough, Greensborough, 1875. The specimen was presented to the Museum through the President of the Horticultural Society. The model was made in the museum by Thomas McMillan for the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition of 1876. Duplicate of Reg. Item 13504.
Synonym: Whatmough's Lancashire Lass. The seedling was raised by Robert Whatmough and planted at the Horticultural Gardens at Burnley and was still standing as late as 1921.
