Altazimuth theodolite, 14 cm circle, made by Ertel & Sohn, Munich, circa 1850
Used in the Geodetic Survey of Victoria for minor triangulation. Later used by George Black and his son G. D. Black in connecting Walhalla to the major triangulation via Mts. Useful & Ben Cruachan.
