Summary
German soldier's leather belt, World War I. Buckle has cathedral crown the inscription 'Gott Mit Uns' - 'God with us'.
During World War I soldiers sometimes souveniered items of clothing, uniforms, weapons, papers and other personal effects from dead soldiers. It is not known how this particular belt was acquired.
