Summary
This wax model is based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by Charles Draper of Hazelglen in 1875. The model was made in the Museum by Thomas McMillan for the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition of 1876.
The variety originated on the Forge farm near Crawley, Sussex. This apple is a dessert variety and is harvested in winter.
