Probably worn by Ralph Goodwin - his name appears on the label. David Ralph Goodwin was born 14 Nov 1921 in Mordialloc. He enlisted 11 May 1938 in Melbourne, service number 22112, and became an Able Seaman. He served on HMA Ships Canberra, Vendetta, Perth and Hobart. He was serving at HMAS Cerberus in June 1943 when he was diagnosed as suffering from anxiety neuroses. He was discharged on 21 July 1943. He later founded the HMAS Perth Association.
Physical Description
White heavy cotton shirt with square neck and navy binding around neck edge. Short sleeves. Back has keyhole shaped panel sewn on to back from neck to waistline. Splits at bottom of side seams.
