Summary
This wax model was based on specimen grown and presented to the museum by the Horticultural Society of Victoria from their Burnley Gardens in 1876. The model was made in the museum. The model maker is unknown.
This apple is one of eight varieties - Barkly, Barry, Bowen, Darling, Hotham, LaTrobe, Stawell and Sutton that were all raised from seedling by Robert Whatmough at Willis Vale in Greensborough and first exhibited at the Horticulutral Society in 1876.
