Summary
This wax model is based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by J.D. Roberts of Hawthorn in 1875. The model was made in the museum by Thomas McMillan for the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition of 1876.
Synonyms: American Mother, Queen Anne, Gardener's Apple. This apple is a dessert variety and is harvested in autumn-winter.
