Summary
This wax model was based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by Robert Whatmough, Greensborough, 1875. The model was made in the museum by Thomas McMillan for the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition of 1876. This model is similar to Reg Item ST 4994 but it was not made in the same mould although they both have '254' as their modelling number.
