Summary
Model based on specimen grown and presented by Robert Whatmough, Greensborough, 1875. This probably differs from Williams Bon Chretien. Both Whatmough's and William's are listed as trees grown at Burnley Gardens in list of Fruit at Burnley in 1897. The model was made in the Museum by Thomas McMillan for the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition of 1876.
