The passage voyage was from the Port of London (Tilbury) to the Port of Melbourne, sailing on the 31 March 1887. The ticket cost 16 pounds 16 shillings and was issued 7 March 1887.
Charles W. Tennant migrated from Edinburgh, Scotland in 1887, travelling to Melbourne to join his sister, Mrs J. Simpson. He settled in Carlton and worked as a carpenter. In 1899 lack of work forced him to leave Melbourne, and he moved to Fremantle, Western Australia. He became a builder and contractor around Fremantle, and two years later, in 1901, married. He had two daughters and died in 1941.
