Physical Description
Khaki twill woollen tunic. Two hip pockets with buttoned flaps. Two breast pockets with pleat and buttoned flaps. Waistband with buckle. Five leather buttons down front. Pockets have leather buttons as do epaulettes. Collar has Rising Sun badges and hook and eye closure. Sleeves gathered into buttoned cuff with leather buttons. Four service stripes on right sleeve above cuff. Brass wound stripe on left sleeve above cuff. Blue and red colour patches on top of sleeve - 5th Battalion. Jacket lined with khaki cotton.
