Australian Army Nurses' Service, World War II nursing cape in red cotton with four badges attached to each shoulder.
Physical Description
Red cotton nurses cape , facing on the front of the cape measuring 6.5cm wide double stitched to the cape on the inner edge, mitred into the corners. Darts extending from either side of the shoulder seam to form the shape. Each shoulder has three diamond shaped bronze badges plus a curved bronze AUSTRALIA badge, these badges are all attached to the garment by loop and pin. Neck is finished with self bias cut binding, fastened with a small metal hook and eye. the cape has a centre back seam with a slit at the base and a small piece of fabric fixed behind the slit.
