Summary
Double girder 55-ft (16.76 m) span overhead travelling crane located in the North Engine Room, built by Thompson & Co., Castlemaine, circa 1894, as part of the original equipment supplied by the firm for the Spotswood Sewerage Pumping Station. The crane was originally fully manually operated, but was later converted with a compressed air driven winch for lifting, retaining the manual gear for traversing & traversing only.
