Summary

Triode, used as a Class A amplifier, manufactured by A. W. A., Sydney, Australia. This valve was electrically identical to the RCA UV199 and UX199, the only difference being that it was fitted with an English 4 pin base. A.W.A. may have manufactured these to provide an alternative to English and European valves with this base. It is also possible that these tubes may have been made by RCA with the bases being fitted in Australia. These valves were shown in the AWA Radio Guide for 1928 and were not made for very long.

Technical details:
Dull emitter, Filament voltage 3.0, current 60 mA. Directly heated cathode. Maximum plate voltage 90 volts.
