Summary
Audiotron triode, made by Elmer T. Cunningham in America, circa 1916. Used as a detector in very early radio receivers.
De Forest responded to the introduction of the Audiotron by producing the tubular audion. Manufacturer: Elmer T. Cunningham. It is almost certain that the original Expanse valve, marketed by AWAaround 1919 was an Audiotron.
