Beam tetrode designed for use as a line-output (horizontal output) valve in television receivers.
Line-output valves drive the horizontal scanning coils of a television receiver. During the line scan period the valve must pass a relatively high current with a low voltage drop and during the flyback period it must withstand a high voltage while turned off.
Manufacturer: Standard Telephones & Cables Ltd., Footscray, Sidcup, Kent, UK. The base of the valve has 'Brimar' inscribed on it. Brimar was the brand name used by STC for radio receiving type valves.
6.3 V indirectly heated cathode.
