Other Details: In 1938 a Commemorative Salon of Photography was held in Sydney to mark Australia's 150th anniversary. It was organised by the Photographic Society of New South Wales [et al] and was held at the Commonwealth Bank Chambers from March 23 to April 9 1938. Photographs displayed included a romantic silver gelatin print titled 'The Stock Route'.

Significance
Salons of Photography are photographic exhibitions, held since the early years of the 20th century. To mark Australia's 150th anniversary in 1938, a commemorative Salon of Photography was held in Sydney. Photographs included 'The Stock Route', a sepia photograph of a dirt road edged with Eucalyptus.
