Julus Formula legend (mostly off flan) Pridmore translation: "Struck at Murshidabad in the year 19 of his reign of tranquil prosperity"

Significance

From August 1765 the East India Company controlled all mints in Bengal and used the mint name Murshidabad at both the Murshidabad and Calcutta mints. The Murshidabad mint was closed in 1777 but the mint name was continued at Calcutta until 1834.
