Summary
Copper As of Claudius, Ancient Roman Empire, probably struck in the period 41 to 50 AD but production could have continued a little longer. Minted by Rome. Although the gold and silver coins of Claudius show numerical changes in TRP and IMP which can be translated to dates, the aes coinage is almost unchanged (with the exception of the addition of PP in 50 AD). This coin, with no PP at the end of the obverse legend is therefore only broadly dated to between 41 and 50 AD.
