Summary

Copper As of the Emperor Claudius, Ancient Roman Empire, struck in the period 41 AD to 50 AD. Minted by Rome. Struck from the beginning in the reign of Claudius, without the title P(ater) P(atriae) included in the obverse legend. Comparison with his dated gold and silver issues show that the inclusion of PP in the legend did not begin until 50 AD setting an end date for the production of this issue.
