Summary
Orichalcum sestertius of the Emperor Claudius in the name of Nero Claudius Drusus (Drusus Senior) struck in the period 41 to 50 AD or perhaps later. Minted by Rome, Ancient Roman Empire. Struck in memory of his father who had died in 9 BC. Production of this coin type may have ceased in 50 AD but this is not certain (see Sutherland, RIC 1984 p.127).
