Physical Description
Box has the appearance of a black cloth-bound book, with marbled page-edges. Box opens to reveal wooden compartments for microscope slides (capacity 100), containing 106 slides. The slides are botanical allergens and are individually labelled. The box lid has a chart for recording the contents of up to 102 slides. Originally inserted into the box was a typed, foolscap sheet naming all the specimens.
