Summary
Alternative Name(s): Fridge, Ice Chest
Wood and enamel refrigerator made in Australia, circa 1935. Slat frame construction with solid side, front and back panels on 4 legs. It is missing the refrigeration unit.
This is probably a Hallstrom, or similar, refrigerator. It has a channel top right, and a latch and handle that exactly mirror those of a Hallstrom in the National Museum of Australia's collection. Further, there is a mark on the lid where a label was once attached; the size and location exactly matches that of the refrigerator in the NMA collection.
