Summary
This badge, alternatively known as a button, is inscribed 'Out proud and Fighting'. Supporting homosexual rights, the 'IS' at the bottom of the badge suggests it was produced by the International Socialists.
This badge is part of Museum Victoria's collection documenting the material culture of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer communities in Victoria (GLBT). In 2005 Museum Victoria joined with the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives and the State Library of Victoria to conduct a survey of GLBT material culture in public and private collections in Victoria.
Physical Description
This is a small metal badge, with a black background and yellow text. Two yellow pairs of interlocking male and female symbols symbolically infer homosexuality. It is pink on the back of the badge.
