Copy of photographic negative depicting Transport & Engineering displays situated in the South Rotunda of the Science Museum in 1984.
The restored 1913 Model T Ford Baker's Van situated in the centre of the view was reconstructed by staff in the Technical Workshop of the Science Musuem between 1972 and 1979, using both original and replica parts acquired from a variety of sources.
Description of Content
Transport and Engineering displays in the South Rotunda at the Museum of Victoria, Swanston Street, in 1984. The centrepiece of the display is a restored 1913 Model T Ford 'Baker's Van' (ST 36792), while to the left the Working Models Display Case (HT 3541) is partially visible. In the background is the doorway leading into Stawell Gallery.
