View of 25" x 212" Ruwolt designed primary cone (gyratory) crusher, May 1957. Photograph taken in Vickers Ruwolt Fitting Shop showing one employee (possibly Ted Clark) standing alongside and the oil lubricating tank in front of the machine. It is believed that two of these Ruwolt designed crushers were built. The other built for Mt Lyell Mining & Rsilway Co. Museum Ref. MM 012347. The crusher is capable of processing 300 tons per hour of run of quarry rock.
