Redwulf, King of Northumbria

Little is known of Redwulf (Raedwulf) other than his death fighting pagans. Redwulf came to power by expelling Aethelred II, the son of Eanred soon after he had succeeded his father. Redwulf was killed the same year, fighting the Vikings, and Aethelred II was restored. His coins, all stycas were struck at York.
