Significance
Coins were struck for Faustina the Younger during the reign of Antoninus Pius, her father, but during that period they referred to that relationship. This coin, lacking reference to Pius, is placed in the reign of her husband, Marcus Aurelius. She died while on campaign with Marcus in the East in 175 and was deified in 176.
