Other Details: Bronze medal struck by the Airforce Association in 1965 to commemorate the 25th. Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. It features on the obverse the Air Force Association emblem.The Royal Air Force Associationwas founded in 1920 as the Australian Flying Corps. Most of its members were World War I pilots. Today the Association supports Australian defence (particularly air defence) and Australian aviation, and cares for serving and ex-servicemen and women through repatriation and military compensation. It has branches in every state.
