Victorian Railways No.1 Steam Bus parked on an unsealed rural road in undulating open farm country. A group of approximately 30 school children of various ages pose in front of the bus with the girls all grouped on the left and the boys grouped on the right. Most of the children are wearing hats or caps and most of the girls are wearing white pinafores over their dresses while some of the younger boys have wide white collars. A single boy stands on his own at the rear and three men.
