Description of Content

Display at a trade fair promoting the use of Bruck Mills fabrics in the new uniforms for Ansett Airlines of Australia flight hostesses. This new uniform was introduced in September 1969 when the airline changed its name from Ansett-ANA. It features a cream crimpolene, short sleeve dress with matching pillbox hat and red-brown V-neck jacket and double-breasted overcoat. Brown knee boots could be worn with the overcoat but not during flight. There are posters and a model of an Ansett Airlines DC-9 airliner featured with the mannequin.
