General Description
Body grey to dark brown with darker triangular patches that often form a zigzag pattern. Inside of mouth orange-yellow. Small crest running along back of neck. Snout to base of tail length up to 12 cm.
Biology
Jacky Dragons are active during the day and are often seen basking on logs, fallen branches or rocks. Their diet consists of a wide range of small arthropods. When startled, they will run into leaf litter or under trees or logs.
Distribution
South-eastern mainland Australia.
Habitat
Sclerophyll forests, coastal woodlands, usually in areas with some native vegetation.
