This apron was embroidered by an unknown person using a commercial pattern during the 1930s.
Physical Description
Natural linen apron with light green edging and cotton straps. At top there is wattle embroidered in green and yellow with an embroidered ribbon design and the inscription: "PHARLAP AUSTRALIA'S OWN". At bottom there is an embroidery of a jockey in red, white and black silks riding a brown horse with 3 white socks. There is the outline of a pocket printed on the top left hand side which has not been embroidered.
