Summary
Made of neoprene, the Baton Runner's Thumb Ring was designed by Charlwood Design to hold a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Unit (see HT 12953), which would announce the identity of each runner to the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton. 
The Thumb Ring was part of the suite of objects designed by Charlwood Design as part of their development of the 2006 Queen's Baton.

Blue foam thumb ring. Black inside, with Games logo printed in white on outside.
