Counterweighted indicator gauge for showing the depth of sewage water in No.9 Pump Well, North Engine Room, Spotswood Sewerage Pumping Station. Indicator column is mounted above floor level with scale in feet painted on separate wooden indicator board fixed to column with metal brackets. Situated between Pumping Wells Nos.7 & 9 on eastern side of North Engine Room, adjacent to depth gauge for Pumping Well No.7. Scale marked in feet, with intermediate marks at each quarter foot (3 inches). Scale ratio is 1:1 (1 foot = 304.8 mm).
