Summary
A central plank with a rear wheel, connected to an axle and two wheels, this mechanism was one of the earliest attempts at building the Toy Duck that featured in the Opening Ceremony of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. The axle is off-set to produce a 'waddling' effect when the body is pulled forwards. This type of structure and mechanism under pins the final version of the Toy Duck, as used in the Ceremony. This was one of the earliest attempts that the Ceremonies Team's Workshop made at developing a mechanism to make the Toy Duck waddle.
