A similar cable ran from the Cassette Out jack on the Apple II to the microphone jack of the cassette player.

Physical Description

Each cassette tape is contained in a transparent cassette tape case.

Significance

Data cassette tapes (standard audio tapes) were used to store programs when the Apple II was first introduced in 1977. Whilst floppy disk drives using floppy disk were introduced in 1978 and rapidly superseded data cassettes, for a short time Apple continued to produce data cassette tapes such as these.
In addition, these particular tapes are rare and highly prized.
