Summary
Copy of a medal of Giovanni Antonio de Conti Guides ( c.1459-1501) Count of Modigliana and Urbecche. The original medal, by an unknown artist, was cast in about 1500. This Electrotype copy in two halves made circa 1881 by Robert Ready. This electrotype was not part of the British Museum's King's Gallery Exhibition of 1881. It's acquisition by the National Gallery of Victoria and thus Museum Victoria is yet to be traced.
