Summary
Copy of a medal of Carlo Federighi. The original medal by Niccolo Fiorentino (1430-1514) - also called Niccolo di Forzore Spinelli was cast in Florence in 1498. This two piece electrotype copy was made circa 1881 by Robert Ready. This electrotype was not part of the British Museum's King's Gallery Exhibition of 1881. It's acquisition by the National Gallery of Victoria and thus Museum Victoria is yet to be traced. It may be from a bronze held by the British Museum (Possibly Reg G3,IP.1090).
