Summary
This a recording at the Sunrise classroom in 1989. It was made with a casette recorded on a TDK 90 casette tape. The Sunrise researcher who conducted interviews with Princes Hill Secondary College (PHSC) and Melbourne's Methodist Ladies College (MLC) students and teachers discusses his findings with the project director, Liddy Nevile. His general observations seem to suggest the PHSC students were encouraged to be creative and take some control whereas the MLC teachers favoured being in control and organised.
These teachers and the students interviewed from Princes Hill Secondary College participated in the exploratory computing classroom, 'The Sunrise School' which ran from 1988-1989 at Melbourne Museum. This audio file forms part of the Sunrise Collection which includes educational robots, software and multimedia recordings of teachers and students exploring new possibilities with computer programming.
