This badge was probably made for a campaign by the Committee for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) in the 1980s. This organisation was founded in 1957 in the UK and has been campaigning for national and international disarmament. They are one of the most prominent peace organisations wordwide and their logo, present on this badge as well, has become the international peace symbol.
Physical Description
Circular badge. Laminated front with black background; yellow inscription takes up top 3/5 of badge; in the bottom 2/5 is a picture of a Cruise Missile broken in two with an inscription near its tail. Back is silver colored metal with wire pin and loop.
