Summary
Commemorative badge of the Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia issued 1980s. The Miscellaneous Workers Union of NSW was named in 1914, and amalgamation occurred in 1915 with other unions representing lift attendants, watchmen , caretakers and male office cleaners. From 2011 the union was called United Voice.

Andrew collected these badges over a fifteen year period during which he undertook much research in the field of Trade Union material culture and had extensive contact with the Trade Union movement Australia wide.
Physical Description
Badge is oval shaped with a banner beneath the oval. The oval consists of two extended arms, one with a suit, the other with a bracelet, shaking hands on a black background. There is an ornate gold border around this. Beneath the hands is the year 1915. The banner underneath is red with gold text.
