This badge was made in 1982 and used around the same time. This button commemorates Hiroshima Day and it was purchased in Hiroshima. It was part of a collection of buttons assembled by the donor while active in left-wing politics at the University Melbourne, c 1979-86.
Physical Description
Circular button, plastic with safety pin attached to back. Button is yellow with front printed in blue and black overlay. Shows map of Japan, a missile inscribed "USA" and a submarine. Text in English and Japanese. Safety pin threaded through small oblong of plastic which is, in turn, glued to back of button.
