Summary
Alternative Name(s): button
This badge was made circa 1975 - 1989 and used in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, circa 1980 - 1989. It was made by the Printing and Kindred Industries Union. This was an Australian trade union active between 1966 - 1995, representing workers in the printing industry, as well as paper and cardboard manufacturing. This is one of many instances of particular professional groups appropriating the anti-nuclear dialectic and displaying a united protest stance. Other examples in the Museum Victoria collection include: 'Nurses against Nuclear War', 'Government Workers against the Bomb'.
