Two cylindrical measures of capacity, one peck and half bushel, in wooden carrying case. Brass with handles. Made by J. McEwan & Co., London and Melbourne.
Imperial standard measures for Victoria. Used at Melbourne Observatory as part of its responsibility for administering weights and measures for Victoria. Subsequently used by the Weights and Measures Branch when the Observatory closed in 1944.
