A switch used for reversing small currents in telegraphy. Used at Melbourne Observatory.
Physical Description
Wooden base carrying two fixed and two pivoted brass connecting strips. Two pivoting strips are controlled by tension springs. Base also carries a pivoted brass switching lever fitted with an ebonite knob. Switching lever operates against one or other of the spring-loaded connecting strips to make or break either of two circuits. Three brass screw terminals for circuit connections.
