Persian legend (partly off flan) with date 1258 (Translation of full legend from Catalogue of the Coins in the Indian Museum Calcutta, Vol.IV p.45: Struck royal coin in the world through the help of God. Amjad Ali, monarch of the age, the refuge of the world, the shade of God.)
Reverse Description
At centre Arms: a fish surmounted by a crown between two curved swords; above, an umbrella; around, Persian legend (much off flan or not struck up)
Edge Description
The edge is plain.
Significance
This simplified coat of arms was only used on the coinage during the reign of Amjad Ali Shah.
