Summary
Copper As struck during the reign of Gaius (known by the nickname Caligula) in 39-40 AD depicting his father, Germanicus. Minted by Rome, Ancient Roman Empire. This coin depicts the general Germanicus, father of the emperor. Germanicus had been adopted by the emperor Tiberius but died, possibly from poison. Gaius also had coins struck depicting his three sisters and two brothers.
