Summary
Interior of the Whirling Room, erected at Melbourne Observatory in 1905, at the south end of the Great Melbourne Telescope House. The whirling machine in the centre was used to test air flow equipment for mines. The other equipment was used to test weights and measures for Victoria are around the permiter of the room.
